History and human rights are my passion! I am building my career around these subjects and would love to share my knowledge and experience. I hold a Bachelor's in Indigenous Peoples, Cultures, and Rights from Webster University, where cultural anthropology, human rights, and religious studies made up the core of my education. Additionally, I am currently pursuing a Master's in Human Rights Studies from Lund University. My experience as a study abroad student and then social science teacher in Thailand broadened my perspective and has expanded my worldview, particularly in regard to education. As an academic fellow for Historic St. Mary's City, a museum of archaeology and living interpretation in southern Maryland, I've had the opportunity to put my research skills and expertise to good use. I've published five articles on Clio, an educational website and history guide, and continue to work on content for the site.
My tutoring approach is learning while doing. Together we will dive into the subject(s) you would like assistance with and step by step discover what each has to offer. Drawing connections between the subject area and our lives will strengthen our understandings of the material. I believe this connection is what drives our passions and it will be my pleasure to help you discover this.
